Montecarlo for Sale

      A 1982 Lancia Montecarlo coupe is making a rare appearance when it goes under the Charterhouse hammer in their auction of classic and vintage cars on Wednesday 13th September. “I have always been a fan of the Lancia Montecarlo ever since I saw one star as Giselle alongside the cheeky No 53 VW Beetle in the 1977 film Herbie goes to Montecarlo. ” Commented Matthew Whitney. “However, the 1970’s were not Lancia’s best years and a large number of cars produced, such as the Montecarlo, became heavily corroded and were relegated to the scrap yard. “The Lancia Montecarlo at Charterhouse is just one of 1,123 Series II coupe’s produced. Finished in red with a black leather interior, this has been a cosseted Lancia and has a continuous history from new.
