Top Dog

An oil painting of a dog, which had spent years hidden away in the roof of a Devon cottage, sold for £3,400 in the Charterhouse January picture auction.

“Whilst you should never leave a dog in a hot car I am also sure you should never leave a picture of a dog in the attic for decades!” Commented Richard Bromell. “Apart from being covered in a film of dust and cobwebs, it was in remarkably original condition and would certainly be described as being market fresh.”
